Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer to join our team in the nuclear power industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the replacement of controllers, set point alarms, and relays within our nuclear power facility. This role requires a strong understanding of nuclear plant systems, instrumentation, and control technologies, combined with a commitment to ensuring operational safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Controllers Replacement:
- Plan and execute the replacement of control systems and controllers, ensuring minimal disruption to plant operations.
- Develop and review technical specifications, design documents, and system integration plans for controller replacement projects.
- Perform system diagnostics, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions related to control systems.

Set Point Alarms:
- Configure and calibrate set point alarms in accordance with safety and operational requirements.
- Monitor and adjust alarm thresholds to maintain optimal system performance and ensure timely alerts for operational deviations.
- Conduct regular testing and validation of alarm systems to ensure functionality and accuracy.

Relays Management:
- Oversee the replacement, maintenance, and testing of relays to ensure reliable operation of safety and control systems.
- Implement and maintain relay logic diagrams and documentation.
- Perform root cause analysis of relay failures and develop strategies for improvement.

Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all activities comply with nuclear regulatory standards, plant procedures, and industry best practices.
- Participate in safety reviews, risk assessments, and audits related to I&C systems.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all I&C activities, including maintenance, replacements, and system modifications.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with plant operations, maintenance teams, and other engineering disciplines to coordinate I&C activities and projects.
- Provide technical support and training to plant personnel on new or modified control systems and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to report progress, issues, and resolutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or specialized certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering within the nuclear power industry or a similar highly regulated field.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in control systems, instrumentation, and relay technologies.
- Strong understanding of nuclear power plant operations, safety systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with controllers, set point alarms, and relays in a high-stakes environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications:
- Professional Engineer (PEO) license or equivalent.
