Task Description:
- Provide up to 2 deliveries of Pickering 1-4 Non-Licensed Operator Continuing training courses at the Pickering Learning Centre.
- 1 session Spring 2021, 6 weeks delivery, 40 hours per week
- 1 session fall 2021, 6 weeks delivery, 40 hours per week

Special Requirements / Quality Considerations / Interactions / Communications:
Ensure safety and order of training setting in accordance with the Conduct of Training and associated procedures and standards. Review/update/develop training materials prior to delivery. Report on trainee progress and issues to FLM/ Manager. Carry out other administrative and instructional tasks associated with the function of the role.
Deliver training to personnel in assigned area of expertise using approved training materials in classroom, shop, on-the-job or other work environment. Review/revise Training materials as required to remain current with Station and Training practices and procedures. Uphold all safety and Business Code of Conduct rules, standards and practices in the training environment. Practice all Conduct of Training accountabilities and ensure same are understood and adopted by the trainee.
Prepare the training setting, ensuring all required configuration changes to classroom, shop/laboratory equipment are undertaken. Maintain equipment in a state of readiness to support quality training.
Administer and grade approved tests and evaluations in accordance with status, for courses within assigned area of expertise. Facilitate end of course evaluations and collect data from trainees for analysis.
Maintain order in classroom, referring matters involving discipline to FLM/Manager. Maintain and report on attendance of trainees. Carry out good housekeeping, safety and fire prevention practices in performing the work. Be accountable for the health, safety and well being of self and others in accordance with technical/operating procedures and standards.
Extensive knowledge and experience with OPG and Non-Licensed Operator training, processes and governance related to operator job function required.
Professional written and verbal communications commensurate with dealing with confidentiality around sensitive information.
Access to the protected area at PNGS & DNGS is not required. Access to Pickering Learning Centre (PLC) and Darlington Learning Centre (DLC) and other training facilities may be required.

Expenses: Note that OPG will not compensate extra expenses associated with Training Services Agreement Work Requests.
Qualification Requirements of Personnel:
Must have been previously qualified by OPG as a Nuclear Operator, Supervising Nuclear Operator at any site.
Must have extensive experience (> 2 years) in the Operations Training department as an Instructor, Operations Training Specialist, Operations Specialist or Manager (or equivalent) at any site.

Qualification Requirements of Personnel:
Note minimum qualification requirements or expertise. For example, previous most be previously licensed, must previously have worked in a job, etc.
Must have Pickering 1-4 and or 5-8 Generating Unit Experience
