Senior Piping Engineer
Location: Remote with site visits
Duration: 18 months
Type of Employment: Contract
Role & Responsibilities:
- Perform Nuclear Safety Related piping analysis
- Resolve overstress/fatigue issues
- Communicate status of work and meet critical deadlines
- Thoroughly document all basis and results as directed
- Work across a vast range of technical teams to define, obtain and understand inputs as well as deliver detailed outputs to downstream customers.
- Work as a part of a diverse engineering team
- Travel to site when requested to support workshops/training, etc.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (Other Engineering Disciplines may be acceptable based on work experience)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in piping design and analysis
- Min 3 years of experience performing ASME Section III Class 1 piping analysis with Fatigue evaluations.
- Experience using Hexagon PIPESTRESS software to perform ASME analysis
- Strong technical communication skills
Additional Desired Characteristics
- Nuclear industry knowledge and experience with Boiling Water Reactor design and operation.
