We are recruiting a Cyber Security Business Analyst to join our client on a hybrid 12 month contract located in Pickering, ON.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document business. functional, and technical requirements.
- Assist the project with translating security needs into clear, actionable requirements for technical teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement- Support the PM with bridging business units, IT, and cybersecurity team's needs.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews. and meetings to gather input and ensure alignment.
- Solution Evaluation & Implementation Support- Collaborate with implementation teams to ensure solutions meet business and security requirements.
- Assist with vendor assessments. proof of concepts (POCs). and solution selection.
- Process Mapping & Commissioning- Document current and future state processes and workflows.
- Assist with the development of Support RACI, documentation, commissioning forms and reviews.
- Risk & Compliance Alignment- Assist security risk assessments and audits by providing documentation and analysis (e.g company security form 39, 40, 41).
- Documentation & Communication- Create and maintain project documentation, including requirement specs, process flows. and user stories.
- Prepare reports and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Testing & Validation- Support the development of test cases and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Assist with validating that the implemented solutions function as intended and meet business requirements.
- OCM & Training Assist in developing communication strategies and training materials.
- Support user onboarding and adoption of new security tools and processes.
Qualifications
- Strong background as a Business Analyst (IT and Cyber Security)
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, CISM, Security+) preferred.
- Requires a minimum of 5 years' experience as Business Analyst or similar role
- Proficient in documentation and validation of business requirements from stakeholders
- Thorough understanding of the entire SDLC and with experience working on complex IT projects from inception to completion (i.e. Software, Application, Infrastructure, Cloud Computing, Data Migration, System Migration, Security, etc.)
- Experience contributing to projects through rapid development methodologies such as Agile, Iterative, etc.
- Experience in planning and testing software solutions
- Experience working with Microsoft suite of products (MS Project, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. Visio) and Microsoft DevOps for requirements and work management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience supporting security controls, compliance, risk management, and incident response projects an asset
