We are currently looking for an Accounting & Payroll Analyst
Payroll Duties
· Administer bi-weekly payroll for hourly employees and contractors with varying degrees of complexity using Quick Books
· Prepare timely payroll deductions and remittance
· Ensuring payroll gets processed in timely manner
· Reconcile all incoming contractor invoice discrepancies
· Issue Records of Employment
· Assist with payroll related account reconciliations
· Answer any inquiry our contractors may have in a timely manner
Accounts Receivable Duties
· Invoice preparation for various clients
· Assigning incoming payments to correct accounts and allocation
· Analysis of outstanding AR and timely follow ups
· Follow ups and reconciliation for any over/under payments
Accounts Payable Duties
· Full cycle vendor management - accounting, reconciliation, payments
· Analysis of expenses and reconciliation of vendor payables
Month End Duties
· Preparing various accruals (Sales, COGS, Expenses) as per cut off
· Analysis of Gross Profits for clients and contractors
· Preparation of monthly WSIB/WCB/CNESST reports
· Assisting in HST/GST/QST calculations & filings
· Assisting in preparations of bank reconciliations
· Assisting in various month close related activities & reporting
Job Requirements
· Fundamental understanding of accounting
· 3-5 years of accounting & payroll experience
· Proficiency in excel, ability to manipulate large amounts of data, Detail oriented, capable of meeting various deadlines
· Working knowledge of Quick books
· Excellent written & verbal communication skills
