Job Title: Director of Finance- Interim Position
Contract
Hybrid
Main Function:
- Oversight and leadership of all in-country finance operations.
- Leadership of supporting business functions as assigned.
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer with a secondary reporting to the EVP in Canada.

- Provide leadership to supporting business functions as assigned.

Duties:
- Collaborate with Canadian business leadership teams and UK finance groups.
- Responsibilities:
Prepare and critically analyze annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts for the in-country businesses. - Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts along with written commentary on business line results.
- As part of the corporate life cycle management process, provide in-country support to the business lines, including cost modeling, proposal preparation and analysis.
- Maintain accurate accounting records in the ERP software.
- Develop and maintain accurate KPIs, metrics and financial measures.
- Reviewing and optimizing accounting interfaces with the U.K. office.
- Reconcile balance sheet control accounts monthly.
- Oversee and direct accounts payable, ad hoc payments and personnel expenses.
- Coordinate accurate financial tracking and reporting for in-country programs, projects, and activities.
- Ensure that in-country financial processes follow corporate accounting policies and internal controls.
- Forecast, track and report cash movements.
- Ensure compliance with the laws and regulations of the regulatory and tax authorities.
- Calculation of business tax liabilities.
- Support preparation of financial statements and annual audits.
- Preparation and filing of in-country company returns, including tax returns.
- Supervise, manage, and develop in-country finance staff and assigned support staff.
- Coordination and administration of in-country financial facilities and industrial incentive programs.
- Provide leadership in the preparation of the external annual review statements.
- Responsible for submitting accurate and timely payroll for all entities operating in- country.
- Responding to non-standard and ad hoc requests for information.
- Assist in the development of strategic investment opportunities.
- Complete insurance renewals and ensure compliance.
- Protection of company assets.
- Leading the development and revision of corporate policy.
- Implement new processes or process improvements to meet compliance standards or improve effectiveness.
Other duties: As assigned by the Chief Financial Officer or Executive Vice President.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior finance role, with a track record of success in financial management and leadership.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment, balancing remote and on-site responsibilities as needed.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
- Experience in a matrix organization.
