Electrical Engineer – E2
Location: Burnaby, BC
Contract Duration: November 26, 2025 – March 31, 2027
Maximum Rates: INC: $65.80/hour T4: $54.38/hour
General Description
The Engineer – E2 performs supervised engineering tasks for assignments of limited scope and complexity using standard procedures and techniques. This role supports client projects and/or operations safely, with quality, within budget, and on schedule.
Experience and Role Accountabilities
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a relevant engineering field or equivalent.
- Contribute to the development of safe engineering solutions by conducting studies of limited scope and applying prescribed methods and techniques to solve project or operational problems.
- Assist with specific aspects of more complex engineering activities, adhering to prescribed analysis, design, or computation methods under close supervision of a senior professional engineer.
- Participate in engineering practice, demonstrating initiative and sound judgment when making routine technical decisions while ensuring compliance with established engineering standards.
- Perform periodic independent tasks, including on-site construction quality control and monitoring to ensure design compliance.
- EGBC Registrants provided through this contract will work under the client’s Professional Practice Management Plan.
- The Registrant shall apply their own or their firm’s Permit to Practice Number to any work that is sealed by the Registrant.
- All project documentation produced by the Registrant during the contract will be retained by the client in compliance with EGBC Bylaws.
Education and Skills
- University degree in Applied Science or Engineering.
- Registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Geoscientist-in-Training (GIT) with Engineers & Geoscientists BC, or eligible for registration.
- Familiarity with CAD systems and drawing standards.
- Proficient with industry-standard design and analysis software.
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Intermediate English proficiency for professional communication (written and spoken).
