Intermediate Project Engineer – Instrumentation & Controls (I&C)
Location: Tiverton, ON (Bruce Power Site)
Work Schedule: 3 days per week onsite at Bruce Power
Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension)
Clearance: Bruce Power site access required
Rate: $65 - $80 per hour
Role Overview:
We are seeking an Intermediate Project Engineer (I&C) with strong experience supporting instrumentation and controls systems within the nuclear or power generation sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating engineering activities, managing project deliverables, and ensuring compliance with Bruce Power standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the planning, coordination, and execution of I&C engineering projects within Bruce Power.

Oversee and manage engineering deliverables including drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Interface with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, civil, commissioning) to ensure integration of I&C systems.

Provide technical input and review for design changes, modifications, and field implementation.

Monitor progress and support schedule, scope, and cost control throughout project execution.

Ensure all work complies with nuclear safety, quality assurance, and regulatory standards.

Participate in field verification, design walkdowns, and technical meetings as required.

Support vendor coordination and review of vendor-supplied I&C documentation.

Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Control Systems, or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent discipline).

Minimum 4+ years of I&C engineering experience in nuclear, power generation, or industrial facilities.

Bruce Power site clearance (active or eligible).

Working knowledge of I&C design principles, logic diagrams, control systems, and process instrumentation.

Familiarity with nuclear QA programs, CSA and IEEE standards, and Bruce Power engineering procedures.

Strong coordination, communication, and documentation skills.

Eligible for or registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario preferred.
Additional Information:

This position requires onsite presence at Bruce Power three (3) days per week.

Remaining work may be completed remotely, depending on project needs.

Contract offers potential for long-term extension based on performance and project workload.
