Duration: 12 months with a possible extension.

Our client is an IT Managed Services Provider dedicated to providing exceptional service and innovative solutions to our clients. We are looking for a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our IT team as an IT Helpdesk Technician. This is an entry level position and is a great opportunity to start your career in IT and grow with our client’s company.
Please note, this position may include travel if on site work is needed at client locations including; Burlington, Guelph, Milton, Oakville, Toronto, Vaughan.
The IT Helpdesk Technician will provide technical support and assistance to end-users regarding software, hardware, and network issues. This role involves troubleshooting problems, guiding users through step-by-step solutions, and escalating more complex issues to senior technicians or other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, or chat in a timely and professional manner.
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
- Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, peripherals, and software.
- Provide support for network connectivity issues, including LAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN.
- Document and track issues, resolutions, and other interactions in the helpdesk ticketing system (Syncro PSA).
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues and implement solutions.
- Educate users on basic IT practices, security measures, and software usage.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base with troubleshooting steps and solutions.
- Participate in training and development activities to improve technical skills and stay current with industry trends.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in IT or related field is a plus.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer-focused attitude with a desire to help others.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus but not required.
