Max INC Rate: $92 - Max T4 Rate - $80.43 - Max SP Rate - $85.24
Working Hours:
- Business Day means 8:15 am to 4:30 pm in Alberta from Monday through Friday excluding holidays observed by the Province.
- Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security issues.
- This is a Hybrid role, and the expectation is for the resource will work from the office at least 2 days per week, and as required to support project needs.

Description: The Registries Modernization team is taking an agile approach to implementing modernized, innovative, client-centric and sustainable solutions for delivering registries services to all Albertans. Our team is looking for an Information Technology (IT) Technical Business Analyst who will be process oriented and have a thorough understanding of the entire software and product development lifecycle with various delivery methodologies/frameworks used (Agile or Waterfall).
Responsibilities will include:
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and conduct process walkthroughs:
- Create, review and update user stories and journey maps, as applicable.
- Create system use cases, flow diagrams and interactive mock-ups outlining functional requirements, as required.
- Document and validate results with subject matter experts and drive the creation of detailed business and functional requirements specification documents.
- Document the key risks, mitigating controls, performance measures, and business continuity plans for processes.
- Liaise with procurement specialists, product owners, business stakeholders and technical delivery teams to ensure requirements are communicated and developed as per the business needs.
- Support procurement and contract specialists in the completion of solicitation and contracting documents, ensuring business requirements are clearly documented, provide guidance in evaluation criteria, and assist in responding to vendor inquiries.
- Coordinate and assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the developed functionality meet the business specifications.
- Support development of necessary system (non-technical) documentation as well as make recommendations for policy and/or procedural manuals.
- Support change management and training to ensure delivery of complex program changes.
- Conduct post implementation reviews, assessing opportunities for backlog refinement and for continuous improvement.
- Liaise with security and privacy teams to complete security threat risk assessments and privacy impact assessments as required.
- Applying and interpreting complex legislations/regulations, policies, and standards when conducting user workshops and documenting business requirements.
Equipment requirements:
- It is preferred that the resource has their own equipment, although GoA will provide laptop/desktop if necessary
