Manufacturing Site Set-up & Project Delivery Director plays a crucial role in pulling together the company’s resources to set up and new manufacturing facility in New Brunswick. The right person will assist the current Operations Manager so that the company will increase productivity, improve delivery times, and reduce costs. Success in this position requires communicating effectively, meeting goals, creating and improving project policies and procedures, creating schedules, and assisting staff to put their best foot forward at all times ensuring the entire project opens with full operational efficiency.
Responsibilities include:
Assist current Operation Manager to Lead the end-to-end installation and set-up of a state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Facility.
Lead projects related to Inventory, Operations and Planning carefully integrating ERP system, supply chain, operations, product management, procurement, pricing, and finance with the executive team based in the UK and have an ability to influence key stakeholders to support production facility start-up. Many colleagues will be overseas.
Liaise with other Managers/Functions to understand requirements and execute objectives efficiently and effectively. Facilitate timely communications and collaborate to close any operational gaps
Forecast and monitor costs and staying within allocated budgets and preparing applicable reports
Develop, implement, monitor and maintain operational strategies that increase the efficiency and speed of operations to meet specifications and deadlines
Develop, implement, monitor value add Key Performance Indicators submitting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
Ensuring strict adherence to Quality standards
Qualifications:
Project Management Experience at a senior level
Advanced Manufacturing leadership experience
Relative experience in multi million dollar start up manufacturing & production facilities (Brownfield Manufacturing Site Start up experience is ideal)
Proven in-depth people leadership experience
Experience in data analysis and performance metrics
Technically proficient and past experience implementing an prebuilt MRP system
Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with internal customers and suppliers
Adaptable, able to work in a constant change and dynamic production and manufacturing environment and influence key stakeholders to push projects forward
Ability to travel to the UK from time to time
