Job Description
The Hot Gas Path (HGP) Engineer will support our fleet of gas turbines by developing and analyzing 2D and 3D finite element models of turbine components. Responsibilities include running thermal, structural, modal, and forced-response analyses with combined thermal and mechanical loads, followed by life assessments (LCF, HCF, creep, oxidation, fracture mechanics). Duties also include post-processing modal results (e.g., creating frequency and Campbell diagrams) and presenting findings during Design Reviews.
This role requires extensive work in PowerPoint, as well as reviewing 2D and 3D models. Strong proficiency in classic ANSYS is essential. The HGP Engineer will also play a key role in supporting root-cause analysis (RCA) investigations.
Required Qualifications

Must be a U.S. Person able to work with export-controlled material.

Minimum 4 years of engineering design experience with gas turbine engines.

Experience supporting or leading root-cause analyses (RCA).

Classic ANSYS / mechanical design experience (2+ years).

UG/NX experience (2+ years).

Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and tolerance stack-ups.

Experience with PLM or Teamcenter configuration management tools.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Customer-focused mindset and strong team collaboration abilities.

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications

Master of Science in an Engineering discipline.
