Location: Toronto, ON
Duration: 12 month contract

Role Overview:
The Office Manager assists the Development team and other supporting teams in the Toronto regional office with all office related tasks to support an efficient operation and timely response to both internal and external requests. The Office Manager will also support events and other efforts at our project sites throughout Canada. This position is a great starting point for someone who is looking to get their foot in the door into the renewable energy industry as it will entail collaboration with individuals throughout EDPR NA who are working to develop, construct and operate our wind, solar, battery storage, and green hydrogen projects.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Assist with preparing various documents and correspondence with both internal colleagues and external parties
- Support accounts payable/receivable processes in collaboration with the corporate office
- Answer phones, arrange accommodations and greet internal and external visitors
- Support project coordinators, analysts and managers in project development efforts including project events, wind farm and solar park site tours, and other project permitting and land acquisition efforts which includes document processing.
- Correspond with service providers (e.g., phone and internet) and troubleshoot IT issues
- Coordinate with building management regarding maintenance of office space
- Coordinate with internal Corporate Services team to price and purchase office furniture and supplies
- Maintain records pertaining to staff, company credit cards, telephones, and other office-related issues
- Perform general accounting tasks
- Maintain online and hard copy project database and filing system
- Coordinate meetings and conferences, and makes travel arrangements for office staff
- Prepare expense reports for staff
- Perform research regarding the renewable energy industry
- Perform general clerical duties including photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing
- Provide general administrative and logistical support for the office project development team
- Track progress of megawatt development and development budget
- Report on treasury requirements on a weekly basis
- Assist with contract compliance tracking
- Support regional recruitment in collaboration with Human Resources

Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College degree (preferred)
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Ability to quickly learn new software programs
- Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise (Preferred).
Behavioral Requirements:
- Strong interest in renewable energy
- Ability to work well in a relatively unstructured work environment with little supervision
- Excellent organizational skills
- Polished written and oral communication skills
- Valid driver’s license required
Physical demands & working conditions:
- Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
- Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
- Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
- Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
