Senior Program Manager - Defence (Ottawa)ON
Our Client requires a Senior Program Manager to successfully deliver complex and large capital procurement programs, including growth through sustainment/additional work requests and maintain high customer satisfaction. As the Senior Program Manager, the successful candidate is responsible for:
• Managing key customer relationships
• Accountability for Cost, Schedule & Performance for the assigned Program(s)
• Developing & delivering performance plans and reporting performance outcomes
• Developing & managing inputs to customer and internal budgeting processes
• Accountability for Program Supply Chain
• Monthly invoicing processes
• Ensuring program adherence to corporate business and safety policies
• Ensuring legal and financial compliance in accordance with the applicable internal and external guidelines and requirements
• Promoting corporate credibility
• Aligning program execution with corporate strategy
• Ensuring effective program risk and change management activities
• Providing guidance and direction to Project Managers & more junior program support staff
• Managing assigned program resource ensuring the professional development of the team
• All other duties as assigned
Employment Requirements:
• Certification or degree in Engineering/ Operations/ Business Administration/ Legal with experience related to project/ program management or equivalent
• Possess ten (10) or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, defense or high-tech industry
• Possess five (5) or more years of experience managing complex projects / programs
• Ability to self-motivate and motivate a team towards a solution-oriented accountability culture • Fully competent communicator both internally and externally to management, customer, and suppliers
• Experience managing a high performing team and stakeholders
• Proficient with relevant business and project management software
• Willing to travel to customers/suppliers locally or overseas Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations and security regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements.
