This position is assigned to the BWXT-led Nuclear Laboratories Partners of Canada (NLPC) contract and is responsible for pursuit, capture, and full-cycle management of complex non-capital projects within the Project Management Office (PMO). This role ensures projects are executed to financial, technical, and client satisfaction standards across operational and regulatory initiatives.
We are seeking a highly skilled, high-energy and results oriented Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee construction projects in the nuclear industry. This role requires a deep understanding of nuclear regulations, project management principles, and strong leadership abilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex projects from conception to completion, while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
We continue to look for executives with construction experience building large nuclear infrastructure facilities under an Integrated Project Delivery model managing large multidisciplinary construction subcontracts.
Job Description/Duties:
- Lead complex projects from initiation through closeout, including operational programs, regulatory compliance initiatives, and strategic development efforts.
- Develop tailored project execution plans using industry best practices and internal capabilities to maximize value and outcomes.
- Direct multidisciplinary teams, including Project and Discipline Managers, toward shared performance goals.
- Negotiate scope, contracts, and critical outcomes with internal and client stakeholders.
- Apply advanced business acumen to improve project margin, resource efficiency, and schedule fidelity.
- Drive change management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.
- Oversee financial performance, reporting, and client communications to ensure project transparency and satisfaction
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Leadership:
- Lead and manage large-scale construction projects within the nuclear sector, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.

- Foster a collaborative team environment while providing guidance and support.
4. Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular assessments to ensure project stays on track and within budget.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, clients, and team members.
- Present project updates, addressing any concerns and modifications to scope as needed.
