Job Summary:
Bruce Power is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer to join their team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in creating, maintaining, and improving technical documentation related to our nuclear power operations. This position requires a high level of expertise in technical writing, a deep understanding of nuclear power plant systems, and the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, edit, and maintain comprehensive technical documents, including manuals, procedures, guides, and reports.
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and other subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Review and update existing documentation to reflect changes in technology, regulations, and company procedures.
- Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technical writers, promoting best practices in technical writing and documentation.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality documentation.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to support documentation projects and stay current with industry trends and advancements.
- Utilize various tools and software to create and manage technical documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical writing, preferably within the nuclear or energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of nuclear power plant systems, operations, and safety procedures.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in technical writing tools and software, such as Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Office, and content management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to nuclear power documentation.
