Job: Stress Engineer- Senior

Location: Toronto, ON, and Montreal, Québec
Our client, one of the world's leading companies in the development of innovative and ground-breaking aircraft is actively seeking a Professional Aerospace Engineers, for Montreal, QC and Toronto, ON locations. In your role, you will:
- Participate in the design and sizing activities for R&T projects from concept to commissioning: Participate in structural design (metallic & composite) and/or system installation design.
- Perform stress activities to define and size major systems or structural interfaces, such as FEA and analytical hand calculations.
- Perform stress calculations to evaluate design solutions and trade studies.
- Preparation of stress reports and formal compliance documentation.
- Participate in problem-solving activities and delivery of engineering solutions.
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams such as aerodynamics, structural design, system architecture, etc.
- Liaise with internal and external suppliers.
- As required, provide visibility to senior management.
As our ideal candidate:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering.
- Minimum 5 years experience in structural analysis of primary structures and system components (metallic and composite).
- You are proficient in software packages like MSC PATRAN/NASTRAN, Altair Hyper Works, LS-DYNA, CATIAv5 or NX and MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel).
- You have knowledge of object-oriented programming methods.
- Knowledge of Python is an advantage.
- You will have a working knowledge of aerospace design and manufacturing processes You will have a good understanding of aircraft manufacturing methods and processes
- You will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be results-oriented and enthusiastic.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- You have strong communication skills and can easily tailor your communication to the audience.
