Engineering Services Manager

Job Type: Part-time Permanent, (one to three days (8-24 hours) per week depending on project demands)
Location: Bowmanville, Ontario
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinates preparation and submission of EPC engineering deliverables with subcontracted Design Agencies.
Participates with client engineering teams to provide contractor input into design package development.
Maintains and supports compliance with assigned program level plans documentation and engineering resource projections
Build and maintain customer and supplier/vendor relationships to enhance competitiveness in the industry and promote good customer relationships.
Assist in planning and preparation of EPC project schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules.
Assist in the in the implementation of quality control programs.
Participate in surveillance activities of subcontracted Design Agencies.
Develop and maintain client governance required to support effective Engineering Oversight.
Provide overall technical direction and guidance
Review technical specifications
Manage engineering design work for all phases of the project
Review and approve preliminary and detailed design drawings and materials and equipment specifications
Review and approve engineering estimates
Review design modifications
Oversee and review project documentation and as-built drawings
Provide guidance in resolving complex design and field engineering problems as needed
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors' Degree in nuclear, electrical, mechanical, chemical or civil engineering discipline
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Professional Engineer (P.Eng) Designation
15 years of nuclear construction and/or engineering design experience with a broad knowledge of nuclear plant equipment and systems.
Proven understanding of industry and Canadian regulatory standards, technical systems, equipment, methodologies, materials and design practices and criteria
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Strong communication, organization, analytical, and design skills
Supervisory experience would be an asset
Computer Literacy; Microsoft Office suite and other software programs
Familiar with Project Management Processes; Project Controls, Work Planning & Scheduling and Contract
Management
A Security Check will be provided by the client and is required for this position.
