Computer Application Support Specialist
Job Description
Our client has a requirement for a Computer Application support specialist in order to support the temporary workload increase. The resource is required to support the Chief of Technology in the Joint Operations Fusion Lab (JOFL).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides server support: This may include setup and configuration of servers within the JOFL, and ongoing technical maintenance of tech and data equipment in support of technology integration and potential AI capabilities.
- Provides medium complexity networking: This may include support to networking setups and configuring various types of networks, including but not limited to LANs and WANs to support the establishment of joint operational fusion techniques.
- Provide network engineering administration: This may include preventative maintenance, multicasting, and assisting and/or advising on tasks that involve network security, operations, and AI capabilities.
- Provides network charting: This may include the creation of network diagrams, and also recording technical data in support of the chief of technology.
Must Have:
- Must have Secret level clearance
- Must demonstrate a minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years conducting server administration, network engineering, network management and work involving Government of Canada security orders and network policies
- Must have 1 year of experience in the last 6 years analyzing, developing and implementing system modules, subsystems and programs within a “System of Subsystems” environment. Experience with GCCS-J Tactical Awareness Kit (TAK) and Ground Tactical Data Link Systems
