We are assisting our client a leader in the aviation and marine sectors in their search for an AW169 AME M2 Mechanic for their Vancouver, BC location.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining, adjusting, modifying, testing, diagnosing, and repairing AW169 aircraft.
- Generating and completing task cards and work packs using WinAir.
- Operating specialized aviation and power tools, as well as computers and diagnostic equipment.
- Carrying out scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Maintaining accurate and timely records of repair and maintenance activities.
- Ensuring the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment for assigned tasks.
- Keeping the work area clean and conducive to productivity.
- Performing aircraft cleaning duties for both interior and exterior surfaces (excluding medical biohazards).
- Demonstrating efficiency both independently and within a team setting.
- Comprehending and adhering to safety protocols outlined in the Safety & Health Policy Statement, Company Occupational Health & Safety Manual, Company Policies and Procedures, and the MPM.
- Reporting any hazards, incidents, or accidents through the Company reporting system.
- Accurately logging labor hours in the labor tracking system for all completed tasks.
- Executing work in alignment with Transport Canada guidelines.
- Fulfilling any additional duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate:
- Must possess a valid Transport Canada M1 and/or M2 AME license.
- Should have previous experience working with rotary-wing assets, preferably Leonardo Helicopters AW-Family aircraft, particularly the AW169.
- Must have demonstrated familiarity with WinAir or similar maintenance programs.
- Should possess strong organizational abilities.
- Must be proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Should have the physical capability to sit or crouch for extended periods, as well as walk and/or stand for prolonged periods.
- Must possess physical dexterity enabling work in confined spaces.
- Must be willing and able to undertake shift work.
- Should be comfortable working at heights.
- Must be eligible for an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
- Must have the legal right to work in Canada and/or possess or be able to obtain a Canadian passport.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
