Position: Outage Execution Manager, MCR
Location: Tiverton/Bruce Power
Duration: 12 Months with potential annual renewal
Pay Rate; $90 – 100.00/HR
Essential Functions:
This position is a critical SPOC interface between the construction Section Managers and FLM’s. This role is to ensure that all CP and NCP are tracking to completion as per the plan. If there are issues they need to ensure that the construction team has assigned a SPOC to address and resolve the issue. All issues shall be tracked on the PCC Log.
- Monitors the status of task completion of individual work packages and identifies maintenance / Construction resources, as necessary, to ensure system window milestones are met.
- Updates PDM prior to end of each shift.
- Maintains awareness of both critical path activities and near‑critical path activities, and develops resolution of constraints requiring Maintenance / Construction Support.
- Assesses the Maintenance / Construction resource requirements needed to respond to emergent work and rework.
- Acts as Single Point of Contact to resolve maintenance and Maintenance Support issues.
- Acts as Single Point of Contact to ensure Construction and Construction Support issues are resolved.
- Establishes work and material priority of parallel or resource constraint issues.
- Coordinates housekeeping, Post Maintenance Tests (PMTs), and Clearance Order releases, when necessary.
- Following up on maintenance and construction tasks and completing walk downs as required/when available
- Maintain the PCC board with TCDS, actions, work orders, tasks, after consultation with the PDM
Responsibilities of an Outage Execution Manager in MCR
General Responsibilities
- Contributes to the development and growth of a Nuclear Safety Culture by communicating the Nuclear Safety message, setting the example for nuclear safety and demonstrating this commitment through words and actions.
- Supports/attends and challenges at the Construction T5 meetings.
- Provides support to the Department Manager & Division Manager/ Vice President in managing the Department/Division in accordance with applicable legislation, policies, programs, procedures and agreements.
- Provides oversight for work group training and development.
- Provides problem solving, corrective actions and troubleshooting expertise.
- Supports/coordinates/leads major evolutions of work as required.
- Accountable to develop and deliver window execution schedule safely and on time.
- Work with the Ready For Service team to facilitate window and system closeouts.
- Manages Section in the areas of staffing, operational deployments, performance management, labour relations and other related matters.
- Ensures all reporting requirements with respect to Incidents, Station Condition Records, Corrective Action Plans, Action Requests and Work Requests, are effectively completed and processed in a timely manner.
- Meets the site requirements for Observation and Coaching, Workplace Inspections and Safety.
- Uses field Observation and Coaching as well as other measures of performance monitoring as required to meet standards of work and standards of leadership.

- Ensure tempus and time invoices are reviewed and approved in a timely manner.
- Consults with the project control team to ensure alignment with the interface schedule and project reports.
- Ensures MCR is aligned with procedural governance and provides feedback to update governance as required.
- Performs other duties as required.
OEM in MCR Execution
- Reviews the schedule, understands and communicates (to PCO and senior management) daily gains and losses to critical path.
- Chairs required meetings.
- Communicates risks to the senior management.
- Authority to allocate resources as required to ensure window completion and managing impact to critical path
- Deals with emergent scope issues.
- Communicates and resolves items for escalation.
- Provide daily work direction and day to day coordination for the Integration team.
- Submits execution milestone completion forms or SCR for tracking.
- Adapts to changes that are required to the schedule - ensures that there is clarity on the requirements for coding, logic and interface points.
- Holds projects accountable to project deliverables and schedule performance.
- Organize hot hand off requirements.
- Coordinate additional coverage schedules as required
- Keeps the Department Manager informed of operational issues, changes and impact and make recommendations to effectively meet changing requirements.
- Provides oversight for work group performance, production, deliverables to ensure Section meets business plan requirements.
Support - act as a backup for the OEM MCR in execution
- Provides oversight for work group metrics
- Conduct the T+1 meeting to ensure execution teams are accountable for their work and looking forward to flatten the bow wave.
- Ensuring staff from others areas implement changes impacting the outage process
- Alleviate the workload from the OEM in execution and take on tasks as requested
- Performs lessons learned on the previous phase
- Performs activities in support of the 3 month baseline for Operations, Maintenance and Radiation Protection
- Provide support to OEM during meetings in the form of questioning attitude and driving accountability
Planning - next MCR in execution
- Chairs Scope Review Panel (SRP).
- Provides oversight for work group performance to milestones and budget.
- Supports OEM in Execution as needed.
- Coordinating and planning the upcoming execution ensuring that all activities have the right logic, sequencing, coding and interface points identified.
- Performs reviews on look ahead schedules to level manpower, resources and ensure correct milestones are interferences and interfaces are identified in the schedule.
- Coordinate additional coverage schedules as required.
