Senior Structural BIM Checker (Revit)

Overview

We are hiring a Senior Structural BIM Checker to provide technical oversight on structural models and drawings for a nuclear project. This role serves as a critical quality authority, ensuring all deliverables meet strict drafting standards and project requirements before release.

Ideal for a highly experienced structural professional who has previously held checking or approval responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed checks of 3D Revit models and structural drawings

• Validate design accuracy, constructability, and compliance with drafting standards

• Approve model components, assemblies, and technical documentation

• Identify and resolve design inconsistencies before issuance

• Work closely with engineering teams and BIM leadership to maintain model integrity

• Enforce configuration management processes

• Provide guidance to designers when corrections are required

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Structural Design (or similar) OR equivalent experience

• 5+ years structural drafting experience (10+ preferred) within heavy industrial, power, or nuclear sectors

• Minimum 5 years of Revit experience

• At least 5 years performing drafting/model checking

• Advanced understanding of structural design principles

• Ability to pass a nuclear security background check

Preferred

• Extensive experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM360

• Advanced Revit knowledge including family creation

• Experience managing priorities across multiple workstreams
