- Location: Ajax, ON.

In this position, you will oversee the coordination, development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of supply chain processes and systems to support procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution across client divisions and departments.
Advise management on supply chain strategies, supplier relationship management, risk mitigation, and compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
Support demand planning and order fulfillment activities by analyzing supply chain performance, forecasting inventory and supply requirements, and delivering timely, accurate reports to management.
Contribute to the development and refinement of supply chain procedures related to the administration of Genco Services.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide expert advice, assurance, and guidance to Directors and Managers across client work groups in key supply chain disciplines, including Procurement, Logistics, Inventory Management, Supplier Relationship Management, and Risk Management.
- Recommend, implement, and manage supply chain planning systems; analyze plans and results, and prepare consolidated supply chain performance reports for client divisions and departments.
- Establish and oversee procurement and internal control systems, ensuring due diligence and effective internal controls. Coordinate supply chain reporting, including meeting year-end audit requirements.
- Offer strategic advice and operational guidance on supply chain and business matters, ensuring client activities align with applicable policies, standards, and best practices. Influence and drive compliance improvements where necessary.
- Develop and manage systems for risk management, supplier evaluation, and decision support; deliver expert support for costing, pricing, and bidding processes across line organizations.
- Support line functions in business planning, budgeting, forecasting, procurement, risk management, and performance reporting, contributing to accurate costing and pricing strategies.
- Deliver timely, relevant, and accurate supply chain and operational information to support effective decision-making within client divisions and departments.
- Ensure supply chain planning, budgeting, and reporting processes comply with corporate policies and maintain high-quality procurement and supply chain records.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Supply Chain Services to provide integrated solutions tailored to client needs.
- Lead or contribute to the development and evaluation of business cases and participate in business process reengineering initiatives.
- Supervise and guide team members on assigned projects, including delegating and reviewing work as needed.
- Manage Power BI-related tasks, including ad hoc reporting, manual data uploads, system maintenance, and administration.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and data integrity across supply chain functions.
Qualifications and experience include:
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and related disciplines, including supply chain analysis, economic decision-making, management systems, supply chain and managerial accounting, program and budget management, and relevant IT systems. This knowledge supports the evaluation, development, implementation, and maintenance of strategies, policies, procedures, and systems related to supply chain operations, as well as the provision of informed advice and recommendations.
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborators.
- This level of knowledge is typically acquired through the successful completion of a four-year university degree (Grade XII plus five years of post-secondary education), along with eligibility for a recognized professional supply chain designation such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- Significant experience in supply chain management and procurement environments, with an in-depth understanding of management processes, policy frameworks, approval workflows, supply chain administration, internal controls, and IT applications.
- Familiarity with the structure, operations, and service offerings of the assigned work group, including value-based management approaches and strategic business thinking.
- Proven ability to assess, develop, recommend, and implement supply chain strategies, procurement practices, risk management initiatives, and operational policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated success in delivering business advice that has led to the adoption of key recommendations and measurable improvements in operational or financial performance.
- A total of 8 to 10 years of progressive experience is typically required to acquire the breadth and depth of expertise needed for this role.
Technical skills:
Data Analysis and Visualization:
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and macros. Experience with data visualization tools like Power Bl to create insightful dashboards and reports.
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems:
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Asset Suite, particularly modules related to supply chain, procurement, and inventory management.
Database Management:
- Skills in SQL for querying databases to extract and manipulate supply chain data.
Statistical Analysis:
- Understanding of statistical methods and tools like R or Python for supply chain forecasting and optimization.
Project Management Tools:
- Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project or Asana to manage supply chain projects and initiatives.
Process Improvement Methodologies:
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Supply Chain Modeling:
- Ability to use modeling tools to simulate supply chain scenarios and optimize processes.
E-commerce Platforms:
- Understanding of e-commerce platforms and their impact on supply chain logistics and distribution.
Communication and Collaboration Tools:
- Proficiency in using communication and collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams or Slack for effective teamwork and information sharing.
