Role: Fire Safety Engineering Analyst
Location: Toronto 
Job Type: Full-Time Permanent  
On-Site: Hybrid (3 days on-site) 
Salary: $133,000 - $166,000

Your role within the team:
- Lead multiple engineering projects from inception through to delivery in support of fire safety standards and codes.
- Support the delivery of project work within time and cost budgets.
- Keep up to date with regulations and legislation.
- Developing fire engineering solutions on projects and ensuring the fire engineering strategy delivered.
- Assess fire related risks in projects and working collaboratively to mitigate where possible.
- Review fire protection design for code compliance review as per applicable codes and standards.
- Undertake tenders for new work.
- Prepare proposals, take part in analysis and design team meetings, and liaise with client representatives as required.
The ideal candidate:
- Engineering degree, preferably fire engineering or alternatively a post graduate qualification in fire engineering with atleast 10 years of experience. A plus would be CFPS certification of the NFPA.
- Registered or eligible for a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
- Strong Fire modelling experience using CFAST. Knowledge of fire modeling using FDS will be beneficial.
- Strong experience working with a range of building codes and fire standards including but not limited to NBCC, NFCC, CSA N293, CSA N393, NFPA 101, NFPA 72, NFPA 10, NFPA 13, NFPA 25, and NFPA 80.
- Demonstrate a strong record of successfully delivering fire safety projects with experience executing, managing schedule and budget, and reporting, to meet nuclear project goals. Experience in team leading is a plus
- Being customer and end user centric, demonstrating good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team including other engineering disciplines and technologists
- Strong communication skills, including delivering technical presentations accurately and effectively.
