Civil Engineer – Project Engineering (PrEL) Support
Location: Bruce Power, Kincardine, ON
Contract: 1-Year (with potential renewal)
Rate: $45 – $65/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Onsite, 5 days per week
Position Overview
We are seeking Civil Engineers to support Project Engineering (PrEL) activities at Bruce Power. This role is ideal for motivated new graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience within Canada’s nuclear power sector.
You will work directly at the Bruce Power site, providing civil engineering input and project coordination support to multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities

Support Project Engineers (PrELs) with planning, coordination, and execution of assigned projects.

Assist in preparing and reviewing design packages, technical documentation, and engineering change requests.

Conduct site walkdowns, collect field data, and verify as-built conditions.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and engineering teams to ensure compliance with Bruce Power standards and nuclear safety requirements.

Support construction and commissioning activities, including resolving field issues and ensuring documentation accuracy.

Maintain accurate project records and contribute to progress reporting.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (required).

Eligibility for Bruce Power Site Access Clearance (mandatory).

EIT or P.Eng. designation in Ontario is considered an asset.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to work full-time onsite (5 days per week) at Bruce Power in Kincardine.

Previous experience in a nuclear or heavy industrial environment is an asset, but new graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
