Role Summary / Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, and testing of the NUMAC (Nuclear Measurement Analysis and Control) platform used in safety-critical nuclear applications. This role involves full lifecycle systems engineering, including requirements development, design verification, integration, and regulatory compliance in alignment with nuclear industry standards.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze system-level and subsystem-level requirements based on safety classifications and project scope.

Decompose customer requirements and ensure full traceability.

Develop system architecture diagrams, interface definitions, and functional flow models specific to NUMAC implementations.

Collaborate with hardware and software teams to translate requirements into NUMAC configurations.

Review NUMAC logic diagrams, signal flow documentation, and I/O mappings.

Ensure redundancy, diversity, and failsafe principles are integrated into system design.

Prepare and maintain design specifications, interface control documents, and traceability matrices.

Ensure adherence to nuclear standards (e.g., IEEE 603, NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 App B).

Support design reviews, hazard analysis (FMEA/FTA), and resolution of technical issues.

Support or lead development of test procedures for FAT, SAT, and V&V activities.

Execute formal test campaigns, ensuring results are traceable to system requirements.

Troubleshoot integration issues, validate logic performance, and assist with corrective actions.

Participate in NUMAC module integration with plant systems.

Support commissioning, configuration validation, and system turnover documentation.

Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and operational phases.

Interface with project teams, customers, and regulators.

Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement for future projects.

Support audit readiness and compliance documentation.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related field.

10+ years of systems engineering experience, preferably in the nuclear or safety-critical domain.

Familiarity with digital I&C platforms (such as NUMAC).

Strong knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle and V&V methodologies.

Excellent technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred: Prior nuclear industry experience.
