Technical Inside Sales in Instrumentation & Valves
Job description:
The role of the technical inside salesman is to provide first-rate support to our customers, both technically and commercially. Each technical inside salesperson is assigned a specific customer base so that they can get to know their customers well. You need to be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the subject matter and have good interpersonal skills. The candidate will report directly to the Branch Manager and work closely with our external representatives. The Technical Inside Salesperson will follow procedures and work instructions and represent our company in providing reliable, quality service to our customers.
Tasks and responsibilities
▪ Establish customer needs
▪ Make quotations for conventional products.
▪ Follow up on quotations delegated by external representative.
▪ Enter customer orders.
▪ Follow up on orders.
▪ Make purchase orders for conventional products not inventoried or at special price with suppliers.
▪ Provide technical sales support to customers.
▪ Keep up to date on products and service offered by our company.
Qualifications:
▪ DEC in Electrical Engineering or Building Mechanics or Mechanical Engineering or engineering degree in an appropriate discipline or related degree combined with relevant experience
▪ Min 2 years' experience in a similar role.
▪ Experience in sales and valve selection is an asset
▪ Experience and desire to serve customers.
▪ Good user of the Office suite.
▪ Results-oriented and able to manage a variable workload.
▪ Oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
▪ Good ability to manage several priorities at once.
▪ Excellent organizational and teamwork skills.
