Job Overview
Responsible for the production and delivery of high quality products to support Pickering Safe Storage Project from a Reactor Safety perspective.
Coordinate and delegate work for a team of engineers to meet safety, quality, schedule and cost commitments as established by the Engineering Section Managers and/or Project Managers.
Review engineering documentation, including engineering specifications, procedures, training manuals, operations manuals and drawings.
Adhere to specific governance, processed and guidelines used to prepare/revise engineering and project documentation.
Provide technical support/oversight for execution activities of the safety storage project and other Reactor Safety Initiatives.
Assist in high level initiatives and strategy outlook for Reactor Safety department including methodology/governance updates, monitoring the Risk Register and other pertinent documents.
Prepare/revise technical justifications, procedures, training and qualification plans.
Interface with regulators and stakeholders on technical matters with respect to Reactor Safety initiatives and the Pickering Safe Storage Project.
Qualifications
A minimum of 20 years experience is required in probabilistic safety assessments, such as internal events, fire, flood and PSA-based seismic margin assessments.
Strong knowledge is required in severe accident analysis, in the development of emergency operating procedures and SAMG guidelines and Beyond Design Basis Accident program.
Strong knowledge is required in thermal hydraulics analysis, in reliability monitoring and Safe Operating Envelope requirements at Pickering.
