We are currently seeking an AME (E) Avionics Technician for our client situated in Vancouver, BC.
- Maintain, adjust modify, test, diagnose, and repair electrical/avionics systems on AW169 aircraft.
- Create task cards and work orders, as well as order parts and consumables for forecasted maintenance in WinAir.
- Monitor avionics consumable levels at base and order required items in WinAir.
- Work with specialized aviation and power tools, computers, and diagnostic equipment
- Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Keep timely and accurate records of the repair and maintenance activities that were conducted.
- Carefully observe all procedures, rules and regulations when performing any task.
- Be thoroughly familiar with, and put to use, safety procedures and safe work practices.
- Use the appropriate PPE for tasks/jobs.
- Maintain a clean and productive work area.
- Conduct aircraft cleaning duties of interior and exterior (excluding medical biohazards).
- Work efficiently alone and as part of a team.
- Read, understand, and adhere to the Safety & health Policy Statement, Company Occupational Health & Safety Manual, Company Policies and Procedures and the MPM.
- Utilize the company reporting system to report any hazard, incident, or accident.
- Enter labour in the labour tracking system accurately for all tasks performed.
- Perform work in accordance with all Transport Canada guidelines and the MPM.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Must hold a valid Transport Canada AME-E license.
· Have experience working on a rotary-wing asset, ideally on Leonardo Helicopters AW-Family aircraft, in particular, the AW169.
· Have demonstrated experience working on WinAir or other similar maintenance programs.
· Have good organizational skills.
· Is proficient in English, written and spoken.
· Have the physical ability to sit or crouch for extended periods.
· Have the physical ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods.
· Have physical dexterity to allow working in confined spaces.
· The ability and willingness to undertake shift work.
· Is comfortable working at height.
· You are eligible for an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
· Have the right to work in Canada and/or have or can obtain a Canadian passport.
· Hold a valid driver's license.
