Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive financial professional to lead the preparation and submission of project invoices for U.S. and international government contracts. This role ensures compliance with all applicable governmental regulations, contractual requirements, and internal
policies. In addition to billing, you will support government audits, assist in the development of indirect rates, and provide financial input for cost estimates on new business opportunities.
Essential Responsibilities
1) Perform comprehensive financial analysis of labor, staff augmentation, and other direct costs associated with government projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project budgets.
2) Prepare and submit accurate, timely invoices for U.S. and international government contracts, ensuring full compliance with FAR, contract clauses, billing schedules, and any country specific requirements.
3) Maintain and monitor detailed project budgets, track actuals vs. forecast, identify cost variances, and provide financial insights to leadership.
4) Support internal and external audits by gathering supporting documentation and preparing responses to inquiries.
5) Assist in the development and analysis of indirect costs in accordance with applicable government guidelines and cost principles.
6) Provide support in procedural updates and documentation development.
7) Perform other accounting and financial assignments as needed, including special projects, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 10 years Accounting/Finance experience in lieu of degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill
