Duties:
Fabrication of composite and metals parts, forming, shaping and riveting repairs to the Helicopter Structures.
Responsibilities:
Performing structural repairs and overhauls on a variety of OEM approved products
Riveting of sheet metal
Reviews work required, prepares inspection reports for estimates
Reviews blueprints and drawings to determine requirements of jobs
Applying information from air services bulletins, technical documentation and CARs to various jobs
Utilizing fixtures and jigs to repair damaged sheet metal sections
Troubleshooting and ensuring required performance and standards of the repaired unit/pieces
Develop work methods, procedures and standards, if necessary
Plan, organize and coordinate work
Provide instruction, guidance, advice, and feedback as required
Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of machines and tools
Qualifications:
Minimum three to five (3-8) years of Aircraft Sheetmetal experience on major structural repair on helicopters
Current/valid AME (S) License
Previous Helicopter Structural Repair experience on Bell and Airbus Helicopter products with fixtures experience preferred.
Thorough understanding of all technical documents such as technical bulletins, alert service bulletins, etc.
Understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations
Ability to use hand tools and equipment/machinery
Knowledge of engineering science and technology and properties of metals
Basic computer skills
Mechanical aptitude
