Intermediate Project Scheduler
Position: Intermediate Project Scheduler
Location: Key Lake Operation (Northern SK fly in/ fly out camp)
Days/Hours: 2 weeks in / 2 weeks out
Duration: 6 months to March 31, 2022
Start Date: October 1, 2021
Resumes due by September 9th.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Commissioning Project Manager, the Project Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining the resource loaded integrated project commissioning schedules against the approved baseline.
- Develop and maintain project schedules by interfacing with project team members and pertinent operations departments
- Record project schedule updates and prepare and maintain various reports on the progress of work
- Coordinate and work with the project management team to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery and completion of the project work
- Track and evaluate schedule trends and variances and adjust forecasts as required
- Monitor project activity scheduling to ensure targets are being met
- Assess and advise on schedule risks and schedule contingency
- Work within the standard planning/scheduling procedures; ensure that these procedures fulfill the requirements and develop additional project specific procedures where necessary
- Attend project meetings and discussions with the project management team
Skills & Experience Required:
- 4-9 years of related experience
- Knowledge of commissioning methods, materials, equipment, and contractual requirements of mining construction projects
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a project environment with a construction and / or engineering background
- Strong task management skills, with the ability to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities
- High level organizational and planning skills
- Demonstrated success in building trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent computer skills (i.e., MS Office, MS Project, Adobe, SAP, etc.)
- Strong leadership, communicative, analytical and adaptability skills
- Must be self sufficient, self motivated and the ability to multitask
- Professional Degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is considered an asset
- Completion of a diploma or degree in a certified project management program is considered an asset
