Title: Mechanical Owner Eng, HVAC

Duration: 12 months
Location: Bruce Power
Onsite 5 days a week
Rate: $60-$80/hr INC (negotiable)

Per Diem: $90/day

General Accountabilities

• Reporting to the accountable Design Engineering Section Manager to provide Owner Engineer support
• Manage and co-ordinate technical support of multiple projects simultaneously
• Ensure work is completed to required technical standards
• Coordinate with Work Management, Supply Chain, Trades FLM's, Engineering, Operations, Safety, Waste Management, Environment and other stakeholders to assist implementation of projects from concept through execution, commissioning and return to service
• Manage assigned project deliverables on schedule and budget
• Other duties as assigned

General Selection Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• A Professional Engineer of Ontario (PEO), or eligible for PEO status, with a passion for engineering
• Bruce Power and/or OPG Security Clearance is an asset
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards is desired, along with a strong understanding of and commitment to meeting superior quality assurance requirements 
• Mechanical OE with HVAC experience: Working knowledge of CSA B52 and ASHRAE standards, heat load calculations, ACU sizing, ACU component specifications.  Experience/awareness of interfacing systems such as cooling water systems, electrical supply including cabling and MCCs, ACU controllers and HMIs, interface with civil structures.
