Position: Mechanical/Piping Construction Field Superintendent

Location: Northern Saskatchewan Operations (fly in/fly out)

Rotation: 2 weeks in/2 weeks out

Start Date: July 7, 2022

End Date: October 21, 2022

Resumes due by end of day June 20th.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• The Field Superintendent has primary responsibility to ensure contractors within their area are working in a safe manner abiding by all safety program requirements
• The Field Superintendent will review and/or develop detailed work plans according to Cameco's workface planning processes
• In some instances, the Field Superintendent may perform supervision of direct field labour on mechanical/piping scopes of work ensuring the work is completed safely and to a high quality standard
• In some instances, the Field Superintendent will oversee the contractor's activities of a mechanical/piping nature confirming the work is completed safely and according to all contract requirements
• Inspections of completed work to confirm it is completed to appropriate standards, identifying deficiencies and managing the completion of deficiencies
• Monitoring the schedule and productivity of work and work collaboratively with the contractor and operations personnel to resolve issues and barriers
• Daily validation and approval of contractor submitted labour, equipment and material reports
• Responsible to coordinate field activities between contractors and the Cameco operations team as required

Skills & Experience Required:

• 10+ years of related experience
• Journeyperson status in a mechanical trade
• Previous experience with multi-discipline mechanical work required (mechanical equipment, piping)
• Previous experience in a brown field construction environment is required
• Supervisor training/certification required
• Safety training highly preferred
• Proficient computer skills required
• Cameco requires all assigned resources contractors to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
