Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 1 Year (Can be extended annually)
Hourly Rate: $75 - 95/hour
Responsibilities:
- Leading or assisting in preparation of detailed work plans
- Leading and monitoring compliance
- Review scheduled work, review work that was completed and what was not and why to prepare regular reports
- Review operational logs, maintaining awareness of new and ongoing issues, as well as the plan to resolve the issues.
- Working with trades, project staff, radiation protection, operations and other support groups to resolve problems and issues related to planning and scheduling
- Prioritizing tasks and deliverables according to defined timelines.
- Identifying, addressing, troubleshooting and resolving moderately complex issues
- Assisting in the preparation of Scopes of Work, and bid evaluations.
- Preparing technical reports and researching tools, equipment and techniques used in Decommissioning and Environmental Remediation.
- Complying with safety and quality assurance standards and troubleshooting when issues arise
- Ensuring the safety and compliance of people on the site.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of Planning experience,
- Working knowledge and ability to apply the applicable codes associated with Decommissioning a nuclear site and buildings.
- Understanding of the CNSC regulations.
- Knowledge and application of radiation protection principles, measurements and contamination control.
- Working knowledge of Waste Management principles and volume reduction methodologies.
- Working knowledge of the document process including project documents and engineering documents.
- Supervisory, team building and communication skills.
- Security clearance eligibility required
