Project Control Coordinator
Position Title: Project Control Coordinator III (PCC)
Contract Term: 1 year (Remote work – 37.5 hours/week)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a senior-level Project Control Coordinator (PCC III) to support our project management team. This role plays a key leadership function in establishing and managing project control systems. The PCC will be responsible for developing and maintaining work breakdown structures, schedules, cost estimates, and control databases. In addition, the role involves performance analysis, variance investigation, and proactive coordination with project stakeholders.
This is a remote position with an expected workweek of 37.5 hours, and an initial contract term of one year.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Controls:

Lead the implementation of project planning and control systems.

Prepare and maintain project work breakdown structures, baseline schedules, cost estimates, and forecasts.

Analyze project performance data, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions.

Produce project reports related to scope, cost, and schedule; support or lead presentations and meetings.

Develop and manage project risk registers and change control documentation.

Provide contract administration support, including reviewing deliverables, invoices, and timecards.

Perform Earned Value Analysis (EVA) to assess schedule and cost performance.

Support the Project Manager in meeting project objectives and client expectations.

Mentor and support junior/intermediate team members in planning and control processes.
Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with internal departments (Engineering, Licensing, QA, Procurement, etc.) to gather performance data and track deliverables.

Maintain strong working relationships with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to coordinate construction schedules and project updates.
Process Improvement & Innovation:

Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to project control processes.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and encourage innovation across project teams.
Reporting & Documentation:

Ensure timely and accurate completion of project submissions and documentation.

Develop cost and schedule reports, including resource demand and cash flow forecasts.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
-
University degree or college diploma in a relevant discipline.
Experience:
-
4–6 years of progressively responsible experience in project controls or project management.
Certifications:
-
PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification is required.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
Technical Skills & Tools:
-
Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), MS Access, and MS Visio.

Strong knowledge of Primavera (P6) and ability to integrate with other systems such as Cobra and document control platforms.

Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems (ANSI/EIA-748-C).
