Overview:
The Project Manager is responsible for the professional and safe management of assigned projects to ensure accordance with the Company, Client and industry requirements.
Objectives:
- Manage the various work procedures, practices, and plans of the assigned project to ensure deliverables are achieved.
- Monitor assigned project performance including costs, progress against schedule, safety, and internal reviews to provide a transparent assessment.
- Ensure safety, environmental, community and industrial relations and quality procedures and plans are adhered to on all sites.
- Maintain the quality of output produced from the Site team to ensure deliverables are met to a high-level of accuracy and in alignment with the Company, Project, Client, regulatory and contractual standards and requirements.
- Work collaboratively with personnel including Site Manager across all business units.
- Ensure all dealings with Client, Vendors and other external stakeholders are professional and in line with ethos of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the research and development stages of projects including the planning, organising, directing, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing of assigned projects.
- Oversee the schedules, budgets, target deliverables, staffing and equipment needs to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.
- Create detailed project plans to track progress and meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements.
- Oversee and manage the Site Manager to ensure that all site activities are up to a high standard in line with the Company, Client, regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Regularly communicate with the Site Manager on weekly reports, updates and feedback with regards to site activities.
- Govern the site manager to ensure compliance to Company and Client policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Manage client and stakeholder relationships.
- Compile and submit project progress reports monthly.
- Oversee recruitment of project site team personnel.
- Oversee the delivery of improvement initiatives which support the business' continuous improvement.
- Contribute to Senior team member's professional development by providing consistent mentoring and identify avenues of development.
- Perform risk management to minimise project risks.
- Promote and encourage a positive workplace culture and team environment.
Qualification and Experience:
- University degree in Engineering or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Minimum 15+ years' post graduate experience in related industries
