Project Scheduler
Location: Hybrid San Jose/Bay Area, California or Remote with Occasional Travel
Contract - 12 months
Role & Responsibilities:
· Develop and Maintain Integrated Schedules: Create and maintain Level 1 and Level 2 project schedules using Primavera P6, managing timelines across as many as 7 coordinated orders per project. Ensure accurate activity sequencing without duplication of effort.
· Plan Outside of SPSI: Build and manage project schedules independently of SPSI systems while ensuring alignment with key project milestones and deliverables.
· Coordinate with Project Teams: Collaborate with Project Managers, Construction Leads, and Engineering teams to define scope elements, allocate resources, and align activities across multiple work streams.
· Schedule Optimization: Analyze critical paths, identify interdependencies between the 7 orders, and propose schedule optimizations that avoid rework and redundant inputs.
· Progress Tracking: Support tracking and reporting of project status through schedule updates, dashboards, and summary reports. Highlight schedule variances and suggest corrective actions as needed.
· Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in regular schedule review meetings with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment on progress and deliverables.
· Support Project Controls Integration: Assist project control teams by providing accurate scheduling data to support budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting.
· Standardization & Best Practices: Contribute to developing standardized scheduling processes to streamline order-based planning and promote best practices across similar Data Center projects.
Qualifications / Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
· 3–5 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably in construction or infrastructure environments.
· Proficient in Primavera P6 with experience creating and maintaining multi-phase project schedules.
· Familiarity with Data Center construction or similar technically complex projects is highly desirable.
· Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple work orders or work packages without duplicating efforts.
· Basic understanding of earned value, critical path method (CPM), and schedule risk awareness.
· Strong communication and organizational skills with a collaborative approach.
· Interest in or working toward PMP, PSP, or PMI-SP certifications is considered an asset.
