Duration:                          March 18, 2024 – June 30, 2024: on site full time during the outage – shift work

Location:                           New Brunswick Power, Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station, 122 County Line Rd, Maces Bay, NB E5J 1W1

Hourly Rate: $55 - 85/hour 

*Depends on position and level of experience.

What does Outage Execution involve?*

• Support to the Outage Command Centre in accordance with applicable programs and procedures
• Preparation of the assigned outage/MCR schedule
• Execution of detailed plans and coordinating execution of assigned outages/MCRs
• Work closely with the Outage Control Center (OCC)/Project Control Center (PCC) staff to ensure proper oversight of critical activities
• Develop relationships with line managers to aid in removing barriers and ensure execution of the schedule as planned
• Liaise between the OCC/PCC and the Operations shift personnel
• Report out to Senior Executives regarding outage status, work progress, and challenges
• Ensure that Outage Status Reports/MCR reports are prepared accurately and timely
• Troubleshooting of project and field issues

• Knowledge of the principles of planning, scheduling and project management

• Excellent technical, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to work shifts is considered an asset
• Excellence communication skills - written and verbal
• Comfort in working with many individuals at higher levels of the organization

Education and Experience*

• 4-year university degree in a relevant discipline such as Engineering or Project Management
• Prior nuclear experience is preferred
• Prior experience with Primavera 6 is an asset
• Previous Outage Control Centre/Project Control Centre experience is an asset
