Position Overview:
The Procedure Development Department is responsible for creating new Maintenance and Operations procedures and revising existing procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure procedure adheres to Bruce Power governing documentation
- Initiate appropriate action to resolve inconsistent documentation
- Create control maintenance, electrical or mechanical procedures from manufacturer manuals
- Revise/update current control maintenance, electrical or mechanical procedures
- Ensure the details within the procedure are correct, such as:
- Tools required for the subject procedure
- Equipment location
- Any required prerequisites and post-requisites outlined
- Any required peer checks outlined
- Reference documentation reviewed and used within the procedure
- Appendices contain all additional information required for the completion of the procedure
- Completed field work documents
- Receive corrected documents from Vendor | Contractor Documentation SPOC
- Assessing DCRs may also be required at times
- Disposition of stakeholder review comments
- Communication with supplier for any missing equipment information or data
Skills and Knowledge
- Comprehensive knowledge of documentation requirements and information management systems
- Ability to read and understand maintenance drawings
- Possess strong written and oral communications skills
- Flexibility in changing priorities, deadlines and job assignments
- Identify and resolve problems within area of responsibility without specific direction
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Work well with others
- Possess effective time management skills
- Detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy as will be required to come in contact with complex documents
- Effectively utilize computers and associated relevant software applications (e.g.; Microsoft Office, Maximo, Content Server)
- Experience working with and understanding technical drawings and documentation
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Grade XII in a Secondary, Commercial or Technical school or the equivalent level of education
- A period of over two years, up to and including three years is considered necessary to gain this experience
- Prior OPG or Bruce Power station work is considered an asset
- Maximo and content server knowledge is an asset
