Location: Chalk River (open to remote)

Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) conducts a wide range of training activities and has a diverse network of training resources. It is important that training activities are coordinated and tracked effectively and efficiently. Due to the industry we work in, all training records are auditable.
The Training Coordinator provides administrative and technical support to the delivery of a broad range of training and developmental services to CNL employees and contract staff. Additionally, the training coordinator will be expected to communicate with various business units to identify training needs and assist with mapping out development plans within the Learning Management System (LMS) for teams and individuals.
Education
Post-secondary education, preferably in a human resources, administrative, or business- related field
Experience
2-7 years related experience preferably working in an administrative or training environment would be an asset
Experience with Learning Management Systems.
Experience in using (ITSM) IT Service Management software applications is considered an asset.
Abilities and Skills
Accountable with the ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and respond in a timely manner to changing demands and scheduling requirements.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
Skills in customer service are essential. Incumbent must possess a 'customer first' attitude and be committed to ensuring the needs of all customers are met at a high professional standard. Delivering services to customers promptly, with courtesy and providing extra effort and follow-up are critical to the department's business.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability of working under pressure in an unstructured environment.
Strong computer skills.
Proficient in using MS Office suite programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Explorer, and Access).
Strong attention to detail, including self-checking and verification steps, is essential to mitigate any potential data errors in the LMS or when providing customers
with reports.
Functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Coordination
o Responsible for assisting individuals/departments with training registrations/cancellations.
o Provide support to course conduct such as classroom set-up, print/send course materials, Instructor and Participant invites, rosters, and critiques.
o Respond to a high volume of training enquiries (written and verbal) in a professional timely manner.
Data Entry
o Responsible for maintaining records of course completion and learner attendance in the Learning Management System.
o Responsible for proper filing of hard/electronic copy records and uploading records to CNLs Electronic Documents and Records Management System (ATOM).

Course Scheduling, LMS and CBT Troubleshooting, Course Cancellations.

Self-regulate tasks conducted throughout the day with minimal supervision.

Physical and Sensory Demands
o Long periods of sitting, long periods of screen time, lifting boxes of course materials.
Working Environment
o Must have the ability to flex working hours to accommodate the need to work early or work late depending on training activities and their start/end times.
Must have the ability to effectively and efficiently work from a remote setting as needed.
