Project Controls Analyst
Type of Employment: Contract:
Duration: 12 months (can be extended annually)

Location: Oakland, CA (fully on-site)
LOA: $35000 mobilization and $150 per day per diem for the first 30 days
Seniority: Junior - Senior positions available
Hourly Rates:
Junior (3 - 5 years) $45 - 60/hour W2
Intermediate (6 - 14 years) $60 - 75/hour W2
Senior (15+ years) $75 - 85/hour W2
Role & Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Performing cost analysis, forecasting, and budget tracking for assigned projects.
- Supporting Earned Value Management (EVM) processes and variance analysis.
- Preparing weekly and monthly project performance reports including progress curves, KPIs, and cost/schedule trends.
- Collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to ensure alignment between the project plan, actuals, and forecasts.
- Managing change control processes, including tracking changes and evaluating impacts on schedule and cost.
- Providing support during project risk reviews and facilitating contingency planning.
- Ensuring compliance with client and PTAG project control standards and procedures
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant project controls experience in capital projects (preferably within infrastructure, power, or heavy industrial sectors).
- Proficient in project controls software, particularly Primavera P6 and MS Excel; experience with cost systems (e.g., EcoSys, Prism) is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
- Understanding of EVM and project performance metrics.
- PMP, AACEI (CCP, PSP), or similar certification is an asset.
